Elemental’s Movie Review π₯ππ¨⛰πͺ΅
By: Clarence Varellia
Elemental is directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream, it was written by Sohn, John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh. The film features the voice actors Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Catherine O'Hara. All fresh and sound perfect for the characters they played!
Elemental is AMAZING. Before I start with the review (from my point of view and opinions), I would like to say that I am a great fan of disney. To say the least, Disney has one of the most interesting and the highest animation quality ever known to humans. That is probably the main reason it is so popular. Even after all these years.
Now, as for the review. As I have said earlier, Elemental is VERY interesting. The story is mainly about the elements in a very modern city called “The Elemental City”. At first, it was about the discrimination the fires had to face when they first moved in, it definitely did its job by perfectly portraying how new things are accepted and adapted in a society these days. It is very touching to see how the fires were able to finally adapt with hard work and how their hard work then finally paid off. What they did to survive and to fight for their family is such an inspiration to all of us. The fact that we can actually learn a lot from this movie is just so inspiring!
Disney and Pixar have taken a pretty long break on creating this kind of movie. So Elemental was very much anticipated by fans all over the world. I must say, it was not a disappointment! I am not usually a big fan of rom-coms since most of them tend to get cringey and forced when it is not done right (trust me when I say I have tried so hard to like rom-coms π¬). But it is a whole different thing in this situation, Elemental carried this whole rom-com situation very lightly and they kept it very natural and entertaining. The coms in the romance did not seem nor sound forced. It was enjoyable and light.
Different Aspects of Film and Summary of my Opinion! ✨️
" I'm FIRE, Wade! I can't be anything more than that, it's what I am and what my family is, Its our way of life! I cannot throw that all away, just for YOU!" Said Ember to Wade. The story of the main characters where they at first were not sure if they could be together is very touching and it is a very realistic situation people face in real life.
It is good to see cartoons actually taking account of reality. The way the main characters fought to be together and to believe in each other is very heartwarming to witness. Some scenes even made us feel warm in our hearts.
Lastly, I would like to comment on the animations. They were phenomenal. The colours were vibrant, the animations were interesting and not boring, it actually looked like the animators put so much effort into creating the animations, the whole vibe was just fun and interesting. It definitely was not boring to watch! To me personally, Elemental is a very worth it movie to watch, with friends, partner/significant other, or even, families!! π€
